We are excited to announce our 1st annual Mo Helps the North Shore Campaign!

Our mission is to make a difference in our community by creating awarness and supporting local charities or non-profit organizations that make our North Shore community stronger and safer for everyone.

Submit your vote from the organizations that have been selected, and be instrumental in helping one of these win a donation of $1,000 from Mo Jaber Real Estate Trading Services as a part of our 1st annual Mo Helps the North Shore Campaign.

Votes will be accepted from December 22nd 2016 until January 13th 2017.

This year's Pre-Selected Nominees:

1- Harvest Project

For more than 23 years, Harvest Project has been reaching out to those who are experiencing extreme challenges with family break-downs, illness, job loss, and poverty. As a social enterprise, our programs provide individual client-coaching and active-listening, provision of food, clothing supports, assistance for workforce re-entry, food-recovery and redistribution, and our retail Clothes For Change Thrift Boutique.

2- YWCA – Lonsdale Low Income-Single Mothers Housing Project

YWCA is developing a new housing community that will be approximately 9 units located in Onni’s CenterView development on North Vancouver’s Lonsdale Avenue. 4 units will be wheelchair accessible; people with mobility issues will get priority for these units. The housing will include a part-time onsite YWCA housing worker to support residents in their journey towards economic independence, a child care center, a grocery store as well as other retail tenants, and a fitness center. The housing worker will provide information on counseling, child care, personal safety, legal education, pre-employment training, education, health, food, clothing and community resources. She will also ensure that women and children have access to the broad network of YWCA services such as: single mothers’ support groups, employment programs, Presents of Peace (a holiday hamper program that matches donors with lone-parent families), bus tickets, food vouchers, mentorship, bursaries, thrift shop gift certificates and child care.

3- Sage Transition House

Since 1979, North Shore Crisis Services Society has been providing safe shelter and support services to women and children who have experienced abuse. We operate SAGE Transition House (24-hour Support Line: 604-987-3374) and provide second stage housing for families who have left abusive relationships. We also provide a Homeless Prevention Program, Outreach Services and Children Who Witness Abuse program and the Good Stuff Connection Clothing Program and Thrift Store.
